| Troy was born and raised in Howell, MO, a suburb of St. Louis, on April 11, 1920. She studied make up and hair design in New York and took her talents to Hollywood where she became a successful hair designer who worked at Columbia Studios, taught and also ran a business making custom hair pieces. She was an avid sketcher, did illustrations of her own hair designs and was studying art at UCLA in what little spare time she had. This intelligent, talented and stunning blond captivated Bel-Jon instantly. She was fascinated by the talented Greek artist and they soon married. |
